Job Description:

The Community Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for running events and logistics for any upcoming campaigns related to Regenesis’ support and sponsorship. The incumbent will be required to speak with various student and faculty groups, and devise marketing plans to target specific audiences. The Campaigns and Outreach Coordinator will work closely with the team to plan any marketing strategies for upcoming campaigns. The Campaigns and Outreach Coordinator will also coordinate with partner organizations running alongside Regenesis.

Note: Part-time and full-time options are available for the role.

Salary: Honorarium will be issued and commensurate on experience.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Participating in outreach training and promotions during key dates

  • Putting together research via our database for lecture schedules

  • Delivering lecture announcements to classrooms about Regenesis, who we are, what we do, and why to support us

  • Distribute promotional materials to students

  • Attending events to share with people more information about Regenesis, how to get involved 

Other 

• Understanding of the organization, its purpose, history, policies and programs

• Represent the organization in a professional and congenial manner in person, in online meetings, in telephone  conversations, and in written correspondence

• Delegation or sharing of duties with others as necessary 

• Other duties as required or assigned

Requirements:

  • Related work, entrepreneur, volunteer, research or educational experience

  • 1 year of experience with sales/business development is an asset

  • Detail-oriented

  • Strong written communication skills (i.e. proper grammar usage, ability to convey ideas through words)

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Zoom and Google Workplace (i.e. Google Docs, Google Drive)

  • Previous experience working or volunteering with the organization is a strong asset

About Regenesis:

Regenesis is a community environmental organization dedicated to empowering students to address today’s environmental and social concerns through advocacy and local service. We focus on creating practical student-led environmental initiatives and programming. Our services help provide free or low-cost services and meaningful leadership opportunities for students, all the while, making our communities, cities, and planet more sustainable. We support diverse and equitable food access and sustainable food production through our programs and initiatives which include good food' markets, community gardens and agriculture, food centres meal programs, research and workshops.
