Community is important as it strengthens and uplifts us, gives us a deeper sense of belonging and help connect us with others. Community allows us to organize to achieve greater and bigger things than we could hope to accomplish on our own. Regenesis supports various community-building efforts.
Community Arts Gallery
Regenesis, in partnership with other art and environmental organizations, is working to establish a community art space focusing on human rights, social justice and environmental-themed visual and performance art. By day, the space will serve as classroom and rehearsal space; by night, it will play host to art receptions and performances. The space will be made available to student clubs, college councils, faculties and departments within the University of Toronto and York University communities, and to environmental, social justice and human rights groups for meetings and events.

Community Engagement Guide with FES
Many young people have not had opportunities to gain experience in human resources and people management and conflict resolution. This skill gap can lead to mismanaged partnerships and sometimes, tension between people who were assumed to be friends. This guide outlines how to develop meaningful relationships with your peers through good peer-to-peer engagement practices, boundary setting, and trust building. It can also serve as a starting point for you and/or your group to implement proactive strategies to foster positive bonds and build productive and respectful working environments.
Collaboration with Many Green Hands
Our collaboration with Many Green Hands consisted of building a sustainable food garden for the local student housing in the York community as well as plant cuttings.
National Eco Students Network
Launched in 2020, the National Eco Students Network is a community of like-minded students, clubs and organizations who are dedicated to promoting sustainable practices, sharing knowledge, and creating positive change. Whether you're an environmental enthusiast, a changemaker, or just someone eager to learn and contribute, our network welcomes all with open arms.
